ABOUT MOULDS (BUILDERS): 1887-2021 139TH ANNIVERSARY
Moulds Builders was established by the Mould family in 1887. The Mould family ran a dairy outlet in Chapel Street and started a building side originally to look after their own premises. For some 60 years Moulds had offices and workshops in Petersfield town centre and after the war the company built the majority of Pulens Lane, Pulens Crescent, Geddes Way, Copse Close, Eastlake Close, Rother Close, Seaward House along with several other local authority properties.
Over the decades, numerous new properties in Petersfield and the surrounding towns and villages have been sympathetically enhanced by Moulds and many new properties have been built including part of Rival Moor, Petersfield; Dellfield, Froxfield and Woods House, Station Road; together with the construction of familiar commercial garage premises at Steep, Hill Brow and Petersfield and several well known local pub refurbishments took place in the 1970's.
Basil Mould retired in 1970 and although no longer in the Mould family, the company is now in its fifth generation and has adopted a young dynamic approach and strives to deliver a service that exceeds client' s expectations. Moulds employ local expert tradesmen many of which have been with the company several decades and all have extensive experience and knowledge to produce a ' top notch' build.
